Interior PIR Motion Detector

A passive infrared detector reads the moving heat signature of a person crossing its segmented field of view. Correct siting matters more than specification: we mount away from heaters, direct sun, air-conditioning outlets and reflective glass, and orient the detector across likely paths of travel rather than head-on, because PIR responds far more reliably to lateral movement. Pet-immune lenses discriminate an animal below a mass threshold from a human, and creep-zone coverage stops an intruder hugging the wall beneath the unit.
