Tamper-Protected Panel Enclosure

An alarm panel is a target, so its enclosure is part of the security. We use a steel housing with both lid and rear tamper switches, so opening the cover or prising the box off the wall raises a tamper alarm whether the system is armed or not. Inside there is proper room for the standby battery, the communicator and the expander modules, with cable entries at the top and separated mains and low-voltage routes. It is mounted out of public reach on a solid substrate, never in the entrance lobby where an intruder reaches it before the entry delay expires.
