Door & Window Contact Sensors
Contacts are the earliest reliable detection point in a building because they trigger the moment an opening is breached, not once an intruder is already inside and moving. A magnet on the moving leaf holds a reed switch closed in the frame; separation opens the circuit and reports. We use flush-mounted contacts on timber and aluminium joinery, surface contacts on roller shutters and steel doors, and high-security triple-biased versions on high-risk openings, which detect an attempt to defeat the reed with an external magnet.
